Hotfix: Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC Tilt 2 | 12.17.2009 This Hotfix when installed prevents inconsistent behavior of the Caller ID function on the device. This is NOT a ROM update and you will not lose your data. Also, these files will survive a Hard Reset so they need only to be installed once. On Your PC: 1. Download the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC Tilt 2” file and save it to your PC. 2. Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable. 3. Once a connection has been established between your PC and your Sync Software: In ActiveSync(Windows XP or earlier): 1. Select Explore. 2. Double-click on your device listing. 3. Drag and drop the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC Tilt 2” file from your PC onto your device. In Windows Mobile Device Center(Vista/Windows 7): 1. Select File Management>Browse the contents of your device. 2. Double-click on your device listing. Drag and drop the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC Tilt 2” file from your PC to your device. On your device: 1. Go to Start>Settings>Tools>File Explorer. 2. Locate the “Inconsistent Caller ID function on the HTC Tilt 2” file you just copied to your device and tap on it to start the installation process. 3. Follow the onscreen instructions. 4. Once the installation is complete, the device will reboot and be ready for use.
