On October 17, T-Mobile G2 devices will begin to receive an Over-The-Air (OTA) update to Android 2.3.4/Software Version 2.16.531.5. The update will roll out to customers in waves over the coming weeks. Improvements: - Google Security Patch - Google Skymap improvements - Battery life improvements - Data connection while roaming domestically Your phone will show a notification when you have received the update. Alternately, to check if your phone has the update, follow these steps: 1. From Home screen, press the Menu key. 2. Tap Settings. 3. Tap About Phone. 4. Tap System Updates.
