When the upgrade is available you will receive a notification in your phone.To be able to upgrade your phone you need to connect to a PC. It is not possible to download the upgrade directly from your phone. Sony Ericsson recommends that you use PC Companion. Go to PC Companion to check that you have the latest PC Companion application installed. If you use the latest Backup and restore application (included in the latest version of PC Companion) the following content is kept: * Market applications (backed up as links to Market) * Play Now application * Bookmarks * Call log * Contacts * SMS and MMS messages * System settings Pictures, music, videos and other files are stored on your phone´s SD card. They won´t be lost – they are not affected by the upgrade and therefore not backed up. Note: Application settings, calendar data and user dictionaries are not kept in your phone after the upgrade.
