Beginning July 18, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (T817T) received a software update to Android 6.0.1 / Baseband version T817TUVU2BPF1. To get the best from your Tab S 2, please keep your tablet up to date and regularly check for software updates. - Fingerprints are securely protected. An alternative unlock method (pattern, PIN, or password) is required to add fingerprints. - Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow does not support the Decrypt device function. If your tablet is encrypted, encryption cannot be disabled after upgrading. If you want encryption to be disabled after upgrading, it must be disabled before you upgrade your device. To disable encryption go to Settings * Lock screen and security - Other security settings, then select Decrypt device. - Some apps that were installed via Android 5.1 may need to be updated after upgrading to the Android 6.0.
